If 5 workers can build a fence in 65 days, how long would it take 13 workers to build the same fence?

    A)  15 days

    B)  20 days

    C)  25 days

    D)         35 days

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

This is a problem for inverse proportionality. The more workers are opposite the less time it will take to build the fence. Hence, we get the product of terms equal. Let \[x\] be the number of days require to build the fence. In the equation form, we get                 \[5\times 65=13\times x\] \[\therefore \]  \[x=\frac{5\times 65}{13}\]                    \[=5\times 5=25\]
