    Solution :

Though, presence of teeth is one of the important features of mammal, there are many toothless mammals also. In spiny anteaters (Tachyglossus), no teeth are found at any stage, a secondary toothless condition occurs in some mammals. In platypus (Ornithorhynchus), embryonic teeth are replaced in adults by horny epidermis plates for crushing molluscs. The true or great anteater (Myrmecophaga) also has no teeth. In whale bone whales faetal teeth are replaced before or soon after birth by baleen plates for straining the planktonic food.
