    B) If both the assertion and reason are true but the reason is not a correct explanation of the assertion

    C) If the assertion is true but the reason is false

    D) If both the assertion and reason are false

    E) If the assertion is false but reason is true

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

Urochordata does not have tunicin in its alimentary canal. Tunicin is the external covering, surrounding the urochordates which is a leathery, translucent test or tunic composed of tunicin, a substance akin to cellulose of plants. The foot is made entirely of test. The test has a clear matrix in which are embedded cell of various shapes, interlacing fibrils, calcareous spicules and branching vascular vessels. Because of the presence of such a tunic or test all over the body, it is known as tunicata.
