    A) increase by 1

    B) increase by 2

    C) remains the same

    D) increase by 1.5

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    [a] Let the five consecutive integers are \[x,\]\[x+1,\]\[x+2,\]\[x+3\] and \[x+4\] According to the question, \[\frac{x+x+1+x+2+x+3+x+4}{5}=n\]\[\Rightarrow \]\[5x+10=5n\] \[\therefore \]      \[x+2=n\] Then, \[\frac{(5x+10)+x+5+x+6}{7}=\frac{7x+21}{7}=x+3\]             \[=n-2+3\]                    [from Eq. (i)] \[=n+1\]
