Solution :

Subtracting eq. (2) from eq. (1). we get

Put the value of x in eq. (2), we get

\[6+y=13\,\,\,\,\,\,\Rightarrow \,\,\,\,\,y=7\]

\[=5x\,sq.\,m\,=5\times 6=30\,sq.\,m\]and area of the kitchen \[=5y\,sq.\,m\,=5\times 7=35\,sq.\,m\]

So, option [c] is correct.
