In the given figure, POQ is a diameter of a circle with centre O and PQRS is a cyclic quadrilateral.  SQ  is  drawn.  If \[\angle R={{138}^{o}},\]find \[\angle PQS.\]

    A) \[90{}^\circ \]

    B) \[42{}^\circ \]

    C) \[48{}^\circ \]

    D) \[38{}^\circ \]

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

    PQRS is a cyclic quadrilateral. \[\Rightarrow \]\[\angle P+\angle R={{180}^{o}}\] \[\Rightarrow \]\[\angle P={{180}^{o}}-{{135}^{o}}={{42}^{o}}\] In \[\Delta PQS,\angle P+\angle Q+\angle S={{180}^{o}}\] \[\therefore \]\[\angle PQS={{48}^{o}}\]
