They should study Indian languages and subjects. The medium of instruction should be Indian language instead of English. The Anglicists had different views, they were critical of the Orientalist school of thought. They were in favour of English as a medium of instruction. They supported western education. According to them, education should be practical. Indians should be taught about science and technology of the west and not Persian and Sanskrit texts.
