    In a parallelogram ABCD, if \[{{50}^{o}}\] \[{{60}^{o}}\] \[\angle BAD={{120}^{o}}\]and \[\angle BCD\] then ratio of AB: BC is

    A) 71:21

    B) 12:11

    C) 31:35

    D) 4:7

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

    We know that in a parallelogram opposite sides are equal.             \[\angle 6=\angle 3\] \[\angle 1=\angle 2\] \[\angle 3=\angle 5\] \[{{180}^{o}}\] and             \[\angle 1+\angle 3={{180}^{o}}\] or  \[\angle 5+\angle 2={{180}^{o}}\]       ?.(i) or  \[1||m||n\]                       ....(ii) Adding \[\angle A,\angle B\] or  \[\angle C\] and \[{{180}^{o}}\] Substituting we have, AB = 31 cm and BC = 35 cm.
