    In a circle, the major arc is twice the minor arc. The corresponding central angles and the degree measures of the two arcs are

    A)  \[CE||BA\]and \[\angle ECD={{65}^{o}}\]

    B)  \[\angle ACB=\]and \[{{60}^{o}}\]

    C)  \[{{55}^{o}}\]and \[{{70}^{o}}\]

    D)  \[{{90}^{o}}\]and\[l||m,\]

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

    Let the major arc subtend \[x{}^\circ \]at centre. Since it is twice the minor arc, the minor arc subtends \[x+\frac{x}{2}={{120}^{o}}\] at centre. But  \[\therefore \] \[\frac{AB}{BC}=\frac{PQ}{QR}\]  \[\angle 4=\angle 2\] and  \[\angle 6=\angle 3\]
