    Solution :

               \[C+{{O}_{2}}\to C{{O}_{2}}\]; \[\Delta H=q\]                    \[C+1/2{{O}_{2}}\to CO\]; \[\Delta H=-12\]       ?..(i)                    \[CO+1/2{{O}_{2}}\to C{{O}_{2}}\]; \[\Delta H=-10\] ?..(ii)                    adding equation (i) and (ii) we can get                                 \[\Delta H=-12+(-10)=-22\]
