(a) The means of transport is Airways.

(b) The north eastern states are mountainous with rugged and uneven terrain dense forests, frequent floods, frequent natural calamities and International frontiers where roads and railways cannot be developed. Hence air transport is more economic and less time consuming which has made access easier.
