    P: Now, look at the column of mercury to make sure that it stands a few degrees below the normal mark. If it is not, shake the thermometer to bring the column of mercury down.
    Q: To use a clinical thermometer, first remove the thermometer carefully from its case.
    R: Thereafter, place the bulb of the thermometer inside the patient's mouth below the tongue. Take care that the patient keeps his mouth shut. After about three minutes, remove the thermometer from his mouth and read the temperature.
