Problems raced by Weimar Republic: (a) The Weimar Republic did not have the support of large sections of the people as they held it responsible for signing the humiliating Treaty of Versailles. (b) The Republic carried the burden of war guilt and was tinancially crippled by being forced to pay compensation. (c) The 1923 and 1929 crisis led to widespread inflation, misery and despair. This made the people angry and desperate. (d) Politically the Weimar Republic had some inherent defects which made it unstable. Consequently, the Republic saw twenty cabinets coming and going. Political instability let people to lose confidence in the Parliamentary System.
