    Total length of the ribbon = 17.85 Length of 1 small piece of ribbon = 0.35 m \[\Rightarrow \]Length of 9 small pieces of ribbon \[=\text{ }9\times 0.35=3.15\]m \[\therefore \] Length of the remaining piece of ribbon \[=\text{ }\left( 17.85-3.15 \right)\]m = 14.7 m
