What is the molarity of \[{{H}_{2}}S{{O}_{4}}\] solution, that has a density 1.84 gm/cc at \[{{35}^{o}}C\] and contains solute 98% by weight [AIIMS 2001]

    A) (a]           4.18 M

    B)                 8.14 M

    C)                 18.4 M

    D)                 18 M

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

           98% \[{{H}_{2}}S{{O}_{4}}\] means 98g \[{{H}_{2}}S{{O}_{4}}\] in 100g solution.            \[\frac{100}{1.84}cc=54.3cc\];  \[98g\,\,{{H}_{2}}S{{O}_{4}}=1\,mol\]                 Hence molarity \[=\frac{1}{54.3}\times 1000=18.4M\]
