  • question_answer
25ml of a solution of barium hydroxide on titration with a 0.1molar solution of hydrochloric acid gave a litre value of 35 ml. The molarity of barium hydroxide solution was [AIEEE 2003]

    A)                 0.07

    B)                 0.14

    C)                 0.28

    D)                 0.35

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

           For HCl \[M=N=0.1\]            \[{{N}_{1}}{{V}_{1}}={{N}_{2}}{{V}_{2}}\]; \[25\times {{N}_{1}}=0.1\times 35\]                 \[{{N}_{1}}=\frac{0.1\times 35}{25}\] ; \[\therefore M=\frac{0.1\times 35}{25\times 2}=0.07\].
