His friend walking towards Rahul and has covered 850 meters. Distance between their homes is 2 km. Distance between Rahul and his friend is

    Solution :

    Rahul walks \[\frac{2}{5}\text{km}=\frac{2}{5}\times 1000=400\,\text{m}\] From point A he walks 450 m. Distance covered by Rahul = 400 + 450 = 850 m. Also his friend has covered = 850 m. Both has covered (850 + 850) = 1700 m. Distance between Rahul and his friend = 2000 m ? 1700 m = 300 m
