[SSC CGL Tier II, 2017]

    A) 50, 20

    B) 70, 50

    C) 20, 50

    D) 50, 70

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

[b] Let, Natu have oranges \[=70\] and Bachku have oranges \[=50\] By giving 10 oranges by Buchku to Natu, Number of oranges Natu have \[=70+10=80\] Number of oranges Bachku have \[=50-10=40\] According to the question, \[80=2\times 40\] i.e., Number of oranges Natu have \[=2\times \] Number of oranges Bachku have (Given condition satisfied) Now, giving 10 oranges by Natu to Bachku, Number of oranges Natu have \[=70-10=60\] Number of oranges Buchku have \[=50+10=60\] According to the question, \[60=60\] i.e., Number of oranges Natu have = Number of oranges Bachku have (Given condition satisfied) Hence, option [b] is the right answer.
