Differentiate between parliamentary and presidential democracy. Mention two features of the type of parliamentary democracy we have.

    Answer:

In the parliamentary form of democracy, the executive is not elected directly by the people and is answerable to the legislature. In the presidential form, on the other hand, the people elect the executive separately from the legislature and the two organs function independently. In India, the legislature has two houses and the people's representatives are elected by universal adult suffrage.
