  • question_answer
Excess pressure of one soap bubble is four times more than the other. Then the ratio of volume of first bubble to another one is  [CPMT 1997; MH CET 2000]

    A) 1 : 64

    B)              1 : 4

    C)             64 : 1

    D)              1 : 2

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

                    \[\Delta P=\frac{4T}{r}\ \Rightarrow \frac{\Delta {{P}_{1}}}{\Delta {{P}_{2}}}=4\]\[\therefore \ \frac{{{r}_{2}}}{{{r}_{1}}}=4\] and \[\frac{{{V}_{1}}}{{{V}_{2}}}={{\left( \frac{{{r}_{1}}}{{{r}_{2}}} \right)}^{3}}=\frac{1}{64}\]
