    Ans.     The term Autism has derived from ‘Autos’ which means psychological loneliness.
    Symptoms:
    1. Difficulty in social interaction: Mostly interested in non-living objects particularly moving objects such as fair.
    They find difficult in sharing emotions.
    2. Difficulty in communication: They have marked difficulty in communication both active as well as passive although their vocal cord in perfectly all right. Because of difficulty in communication they find problem in starting, maintaining and under standing relationship.
    3. Stereotyped body movement as rocking, hand flapping, jumping, clapping is common.
    4. Restricted range of interest. Autistic children love to live in routine. They do not like change.
    5. Autistic children are mostly involved in repetitive and realistic activities.
    6. 70% autistic children are intellectually disabled.
