    If \[x=\frac{2}{3}\] and \[y=\frac{3}{2}\] , then find the value of \[(x+y)\div (x-y)\].

    A)  \[\frac{15}{2}\]

    B)  \[-\frac{13}{5}\]

    C)  \[\frac{17}{6}\]

    D)         \[-\frac{11}{6}\]

    Correct Answer: B

    Solution :

    We have, \[x=\frac{2}{3},y=\frac{3}{2}\] \[\therefore (x+y)\div (x-y)=\left( \frac{2}{3}+\frac{3}{2} \right)\div \left( \frac{2}{3}-\frac{3}{2} \right)\] \[=\frac{13}{6}\div \left( -\frac{5}{6} \right)=\frac{13}{6}\times \left( \frac{6}{-5} \right)=\frac{-13}{5}\]
