    Solution :

    (a): Let the amount be Rs. X \[\frac{8}{3}x-\frac{8}{3}x=55\] \[\Rightarrow \frac{64x-9x}{24}=55\] \[\Rightarrow \frac{55x}{24}=55\] \[\therefore x=\frac{55\times 24}{55}Rs.\,24\] Hence \[\frac{3}{4}\] of 24 is 9
