    How is south-west monsoon different from the north-east monsoons? Write any three differences.

    South-west Monsoons North-east Monsoons
    (a) They blow in summer from June to September. (b) They blow from high pressure sea to low pressure land. They are moisture bearing. (c) They blow in two branches and give bulk of rainfall to India from 75% to 90%. (d) High temperature, low pressure and high humidity. (a) They blow in winter from December to February. (b) They blow from high pressure land to low pressure sea. (c) These are dry. While crossing the Bay of Bengal. they pick up moisture and give rainfall to the Coromandel Coast/Tamil Nadu. (d) Low temperature, high pressure, low humidity.
