    Explain how does monsoon act as a unifying bond in India. Give examples.

    Answer:

    Unifying role of the Indian Monsoons:
    (a) There is great diversity of the climatic conditions due to location and relief features.
    (b) But these diversities are subdued by the monsoon, which blow over the whole country.
    (c) The monsoons blow only for 3/4 months. Rest of the year India remains dry.
    (d) Scarcity of water is felt all over the country.
    (e) The arrival of the monsoon is most welcome. This gives respite from the scorching heat.
    (f) It changes the landscape of the country, provide water to plants, animals and agriculture.
    (g) The entire life of the Indian people revolves around the monsoon including the festivals.
