    Gondwanaland is the oldest landmass, which was million of years ago near the south pole, in the southern hemisphere. As it moved northward, it ruptured and drifted further north. The peninsular massif is a part of the Gondwanaland. Massif is a clearly defined mountainous table land and has a uniform appearance and geology, different from other physical features of India.
