The first step in the pre-disaster phase is to take preparedness measures before disaster strikes to facilitate rapid response, e.g., community awareness, mock-drills, training, proper warning system and identifying vulnerable groups etc. In emergency phase, various types of help is provided to disaster vulnerable people. Injured are given medical help, food, clothing and shelter is distributed. In post-disaster recovery phase essential services arc restored like the construction of houses, hospitals, schools and roads.
