    A) 7 km

    B) 6.25 km

    C) 4 km

    D) 6 km

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

    [d] Let the distance be S km. Then, according to the question, \[\frac{S}{5}-\frac{S}{6}=\frac{7+5}{60}\]\[\Rightarrow \]\[S\left( \frac{6-5}{30} \right)=\frac{12}{60}\]\[\Rightarrow \]\[S\left( \frac{1}{30} \right)=\frac{1}{5}\] \[\therefore \]                  \[S=\frac{30}{5}=6\,\text{km}\]
