(i) A French flag, the tricolour, was chosen to replace the formal royal standard.
(ii) The Estates General was elected by the body of native citizens and was renamed as the National Assembly.
(iii) A centralised administration system was put in place and it formulated uniform laws for all citizens within the territory. Equal rights was given by constitution to all its citizens.
