    A) 50 m

    B) 72 m

    C) 80 m

    D) 82 m

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    [a] Let the length of each train \[=x\,\,m\] As both train are running in same direction                  So, relative speed \[46-36=10\text{km/h}\] \[=\left( 10\times \frac{5}{18} \right)\text{m/s}\] Now, according to the question \[\frac{\text{Sum}\,\text{of}\,\text{train}}{\text{Relative}\,\text{speed}}=36\]             \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{x+x}{10\times \frac{5}{18}}=36\]             \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{2x\times 18}{50}=36\]             \[\Rightarrow \]   \[\frac{36x}{5}=36\]             \[\therefore \]      \[x=50\,m\]
