    Solution :

    (a): \[AD=18\]cm. \[\Rightarrow \]\[GD=\frac{1}{3}\times 18=6cm\] \[BE=12\]cm \[\Rightarrow \] \[BG=\frac{2}{3}\times 12=8cm\] \[\therefore \]\[BD=\sqrt{{{6}^{2}}+{{8}^{2}}}=10cm\]
