    Direction: This question consists of a question and two statements numbered I and U given below it. You shave to decide whether the data given in the statements are sufficient to answer the question. Read both the statements and choose the most appropriate option
    Three -boxes, U, V and W, .each having a different colour, Blue, Orange and yellow are kept one above the other (but not necessarily in the same order). How many boxes (none/one/two) are kept above V?
    I. Box Vis kept immediately above box U. The Yellow box is kept immediately above the Slue Box. V is not the Blue box. U is not the Yellow box;
    II. Only one box is kept between the Yellow box and W; The Orange box is kept immediately below U. Box V is kept; on one of .the positions above the Orange box. 

    A)  if both statements I and II taken together are not sufficient to answer the question.            

    B)                     If either statement I or II alone is sufficient to answer the, questions.

    C)  if both statement I and II taken together are necessary to answer the question.

    D)  if statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question.

    E)  if statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question.

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

    From I. There are two possibilities: W - Orange V-Yellow  U-Blue (ii), V-Yellow U-Blue W - Orange Hence I alone is not sufficient to answer the question.        From II. V - Yellow U-Blue W - Orange Hence no box is kept above V. Thus, only II is sufficient to answer the question.
