    E)                     if the data in both the statements I and II together are necessary to answer the question.

    Correct Answer: E

    Solution :

    Ratio of investments A   :   B   :   C 3    :   4   :   2 Now, after four months \[=3\times 12:4\times 4+2\times 8:2\times 12\] \[=36:32:24=9:8:6\] From I and II. 8 - 6 = 2 = 600 \[\therefore \] (9 + 8 + 6 =) 22 \[=\frac{600}{2}\times 22=6600\] Amount invested by C \[=\frac{600}{22}\times 6=Rs.1800\]             Hence both are necessary to answer the question.
