    In April 2017, if the quantity of rice distributed to relailer C is increased by 15% and that to retailer D decreased by 20% over the previous month then find the total quantity distributed by C and D together in month April 2017.

    Solution :

    Reqd total = (19% of 800) \[\times \]\[\frac{115}{100}+(14%of800)\times \frac{80}{100}\] =152 \[=152\times 1.15+14\times 8\times \frac{4}{5}\] \[=174.8+89.6=264.4kg\]
