    Direction: In each question three statements followed by two conclusions numbered l and II have been given. You have to take the given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance with the commonly known facts and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the given statements. Give answer.
    Statements:  Some jokes are pranks. Some pranks are tricks. No trick is a game. Conclusions: I. All games being jokes is a possibility. II. At least some tricks are jokes.

    A)  If only conclusion II follows.

    B)  If both conclusion I and II follow.

    C)  If neither conclusion I nor II follows.

    D)  If either conclusion I or II follows.

    E)  If only conclusion I follows.

    Correct Answer: A

    Solution :

    Some pranks are tricks (I) + No trick is a game [E] = I + E = 0 = some pranks are not games (0). Now, some jokes are pranks (I) + some pranks are not games (0) =1+0 = No conclusion. But the possibility in I exists. But conclusion II does not follow. Hence only conclusion I follows.
