    (i)  Brood parasitism is a type of parasitism in which the parasitic bird lays its eggs in the nest of its host and let the host bird to incubate them.
    (ii) According to Cause's "competitive exclusion principle", "the two closely related species competing for the same resources cannot co-exist indefinitely and the competitively inferior one will be eliminated eventually."
