    Solution :

    Work done by 8 men in 6 days \[=\frac{6}{12}=\frac{1}{2}\] \[\therefore \] Remaining work \[=1-\frac{1}{2}=\frac{1}{2}\] Since 4 more men are engaged. \[\therefore \] Total number of men = 8 + 4 =12 By work and time formula. \[\frac{{{W}_{1}}}{{{M}_{1}}{{D}_{1}}}=\frac{{{W}_{2}}}{{{M}_{2}}{{D}_{2}}}\] \[\Rightarrow \] \[\frac{1}{8\times 12}=\frac{1/2}{12\times {{D}_{2}}}\] \[\therefore \] \[{{D}_{2}}=\frac{1}{2}\times \frac{8\times 12}{12}=4\] days
