Answer:

(a) There are hundreds of passages and rooms in an anthill. The queen ant occupies so many of them, lays eggs and so many rooms are used as nurseries for the young ants and. their little ones. Again there are some rooms which are used as storehouses for food. An ant hill also has barracks that are occupied by soldier ants to protect the ant colony.

(b) A camel is not a typical animal. They can go without water for days together because they do not sweat. We sweat to keep our body temperature constant. The camels can stand high body temperatures. Therefore they can keep water intact in the body.

(c) Golu had helped the python to coil on the branch of a tree. The python felt grateful and followed Golu. When the crocodile had caught Golu by the nose/ the python helped Golu in getting free from it.

(d) Abbu Khan's goats were of the best hill variety, they hated being tied and kept at one place. The goats wanted freedom/ so they used to run away. In the hills, these goats became the prey of a hungry wolf and died.

(e) Timothy grew less friendly and more dangerous by the time he was six months old. He started chasing cats and eating hens. In fact he started following hens with evil intentions. Thus grandfather decided to transfer him to the zoo.
