My School

I study in St. John's Academy. My school is a senior secondary school affiliated to CBSE. It has three buildings. The main building is of the senior section, from classes IXth to XIIth. It also has the office as well as the Principal's office. It is a two storeyed improper spacing building. The science lab and the computer lab are on the first floor. The second and the third building has the middle and primary sections respectively. There is a big library, a multipurpose hall and a Yoga hall.

There are huge play grounds with a tennis court and a basketball court. There is a swimming pool also. My school has very efficient and hard-working teachers. The helping staff is also very good. I love my school very much.

Television Television is a part and parcel of each house. One cannot imagine life without it now. Television has versatile uses. It entertains. It provides us with current news. Television educates us and covers numerous activities happening around us. Noted personalities appear on the screen and perform. They come from different walks of life to inspire us and educate us. Variety of programmes are shown to suit children and adults both. There are programmes related to current affairs, social issues, economics, politics, literature, art, songs, dances and films. A few channels are specially meant for spiritual needs of the viewers. One precaution can be taken. All programmes may not be good. So selected ones only should be watched. Students should be particularly careful not to waste time in excessive viewing and unnecessary programmes.

Importance of Cleanliness It is said 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness'. Cleanliness determines our quality of life. Tt is at both the levels-personal hygiene and the surroundings. Everyone should wear clean clothes, drink clean water and wash himself properly by timely bathing. This practice will protect us from falling sick. We should keep our houses clean and sweep the slightest dirt away. Keeping surroundings clean is equally important. No trash should be allowed to accumulate. Dustbins should be placed at proper places. Litter and garbage should be dumped into them. If each individuals pays attention to cleanliness whole world will be a cleaner place to live in then we will \ be healthier, happier and wealthier.
