    Answer the following questions                                                                                  
    (a) How long does it take the grubs to become cocoons? What do the cocoons do?
    (b) What is an oasis? Is it of any use?
    (c) What benefits Golu met after developing a trunk?
    (d) What kind of a reaction was shown by Abbu Khan when Chandni asked for her freedom?
    (e) What was the diet that was given to Timothy, the tiger?

    Answer:

    (a) It takes about two to three weeks for the grubs to become cocoons. After that the cocoon lies without food and in an inactive state for more than three weeks. After this, they break the cocoon and from that a perfect ant appears,
    (b) An oasis is like green island in the middle of a desert around a spring or a well. It is very use mi as it gives a chance for plants and trees to grow.
    (c) Golu would notice three main advantages after growing a trunk:
    (i) He could hit the fly that stung him.
    (ii) He could use his trunk and pluck grass and put into his mouth to eat,
    (iii) He could scoop out mud on his head to cool himself.
    (d) Abbu Khan was really attached to Chandni. When Chandni asked him to free her, he was worried regarding her safety and did not want to lose her because of the affection he had for her. So we decided to put her in a small hut curbing her freedom even more.
    (e) When the grandfather brought Timothy to his house, he was brought up entirely on milk. He was given milk in a feeding bottle by the cook as he was unable to have milk by himself. But later, he was put on a diet of raw mutton and cod-liver oil. Thereafter when he grew older/ he was put on a more tempting diet of pigeons and rabbits which Timothy liked very much.
