    (i) "One is known by the company one keeps". Do you agree? Give reasons.

    (iv) What is the most obvious advantage of sleep?
    (v) What went wrong when the tortoises, snakes and lizards left the forest?

    Answer:

    (i) Yes! I agree that one is known by the company one keeps because here in this story the bird that lived in the company of the robbers, learnt to talk about robbing the people. The other bird who lived in the company of the Rishi repeated what he heard from him about welcoming people warmly.
    (ii) Everyone was delighted to see the iron chest on the camel?s back because they felt that the
    Governor?s dishonesty will be found out and he will be punished.
    (iii) Tansen was a great singer therefore, Akbar asked him to join his court.
    (iv) The most obvious advantage of sleep is that through it we can recover from fatigue.
    (v) When the tortoises, snakes and lizards left the forest, the forest was filled with the foul smell of rotting animals and fruits. There were more and more rats, frogs and insects. Rats and frogs ate crocodile?s eggs and their little babies.
