    Answer:

    (a) Everyone was interested in the comical way Gopal had dressed himself. Some called him a madman, others termed him as mystical. No one seemed to be interested in talking about the Hilsa-fish which he bought. This was exactly what Gopal wanted.
    (b) A pile of gold was lying buried in the ground and it had been smelt by Muko. He put his paws against his owner?s legs and motioned with his head to some spot behind. Thus, the farmer?s attention was attracted by him. Muko wanted to attract the farmer?s attention towards the pile of gold.
    (c) Mr. Gessler?s shop did not have much crowd in it. Anyone can enter the shop in a very restful mood. Thus, in this way the shop of Mr. Gessler resembled a church.
    (d) Fire is a bad master because it destroys thousands of homes and shops, destroys large areas of forest land. When a fire breaks out, hundreds of people are left injured or are even killed.
    (e) The specified length of the pitch in the game of cricket is twenty two yards. But, there is no specification of the size of the ground in the game of cricket.
    (f) According to the poet, the mystery of the fan was that it demanded oil. When the motor of the fan was oiled, the fan started running as smooth as water. Thus, the mystery came to an end.
