    [d] Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen, Abdul Kalam was born on 15th October, 1931 in Rameshwaram, Madras Presidency, British India, usually referred to as Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. He is a wonderful leader, a mentor, a scientist, a teacher and great philosopher. He was the 11th President of India. During his term as President, he was popularly known as the People's President. 15th October Dr Abdul Kalam's birthday, is announced as World Student Day by UNO. In India, he is highly respected as a scientist and as an engineer. APJ Abdul Kalam's 79th birthday was recognised as World Student Day in 2010.
