B) 2 and 3
C) 1 and 3
D) All of these
Correct Answer: A
Solution :[a] The East African Rift is the divergent plate boundary, which extends from the Afar triple junction Southward across Eastern Africa and is in the process of splitting the African plate into two new separated plates. Geologists generally refer to these incipient plates as the Nubian plate and the Somali plate. Lake Victoria is a shallow lake between the two branches of the Great Rift Valley. It formed when Westward flowing rivers were damned by an up thrown crustal rock.
