    C)        Rs. 7200

    D) Rs. 9600

    E) None of these

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

For the fourth month Fourth months:
    9th week 10th week 11th week 12th week
    Hour of rest 0 8 0 8
    Working hours 8 0 8 0
    Wage per hour of week Rs.25 Rs.12.5 Rs.25 Rs.12.5
    Fine per hour of rest Rs.5 Rs.5 Rs.5 Rs.5
    Total wage per day Rs.200 0 Rs.200 0
    Total fine per day Rs.0 Rs.40 Rs.0 Rs.40
    Effective wage per day Rs.200 -Rs.40 Rs.200 -Rs.40
    Total wage per week Rs.1200 -Rs.240 Rs.1200 -Rs.240
Now, fourth month salary\[=Rs.(1200+1200\]\[-(240+240))=Rs.\,\,1920\] \[\therefore \]New salary for four months \[=1440+2040+1800+1920=Rs.\,\,7200\]
