    Direction: Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below:
    The table shows the number of employees (in thousand) in different sectors in different years.
    If the number of employees in Cement sector in 2014 is 115.2 thousand and the number of employees in Plastic sector in 2015 is 48 thousand then the total number of employees in 2015 is what per cent more than the total number of employees in 2014?

    A)  75%               

    B)  90%

    C)  100%             

    D)  85%

    E)  60%

    Correct Answer: C

    Solution :

     The number of employees in 2015 = 122 + 48 + 49 + 21 + 960 = 1200 thousand The number of employees in 2014 = 115.2 + 16.5 + 65 + 45 + 358.3 = 600 thousand \[\therefore \text{Reqd }\!\!%\!\!\text{ =}\frac{1200-600}{600}\times 100\] \[=\frac{600}{600}\times 100=100%\]
