    Solution :

    DN Speed \[=\frac{10.8}{27}\times 60=24km/hr\] UP Speed \[=\frac{9.6}{32}\times 60=18km/hr\] \[\therefore \] Reqd time \[=\frac{48}{24}+\frac{48}{18}\] \[=2+2\frac{2}{3}=4\frac{2}{3}hr\] = 4 hr 40 min
