    Solution :

                \[VS\,=\frac{12-8}{\sqrt{2}}\,=\frac{4}{\sqrt{2}}=a\]             \[\therefore \,\,L(L.R)\,=4a\,=\frac{16}{\sqrt{2}}\,=8\sqrt{2}\]
