    Two thick wires and two thin wires, all of the same materials and same length, form a square in three different ways P, Q and R as shown in figure. The magnetic field at the centre of the square is zero in case of:

    A)  P only                                  

    B)  P and Q only

    Correct Answer: D

    Solution :

    Since current in upper and lower arm of the square is same in case P and R only because effective resistance are same. Now magnetic field due to side of the square will be canceled in pair at the centre of the square in these two cases P and R.
