     Borax bead test is used only to detect some colored ions like \[C{{u}^{2+}},\,\,N{{i}^{2+}},\,C{{o}^{2+}}\] and \[C{{r}^{3+}}\] whose salts react with boric anhydride to form metaborates having specific colours. \[A{{l}^{3+}}\] does not show any colour and is also insoluble in water.
